Travel between Cebu and Negros Island is possible through RORO and Fastcrafts.

In Negros Oriental, the Port of Sibulan in the Municipality of the same name - Sibulan, is located about 15 minutes away from Dumaguete City.  The port is facing the island of Cebu where the town of Santander and its port at Liloan is located.

If you travel from Dumaguete to Cebu, the Port of Sibulan is your jump-off point to the Port of Santander or Liloan Port, Cebu, and the rest of the Eastern Visayas and Mindanao Provinces and islands.

It is also your jump-off point to Dumaguete, the rest of Negros Oriental, Bacolod City, and the rest of the Western Visayas region and Mindanao provinces.  Dumaguete is connected to the rest of Mindanao from Dumaguete Port to Dipolog Port in Zamboanga del Norte and to other parts of Mindanao where there are vessels or fast crafts that service the areas.

The above photo shows the ticket counter and Passengers Lounge at Sibulan Port. The passengers have two choices, first is to ride the Pumpboat and second, to ride the Fastcraft. It is cheaper to ride the pump boat than the Fastcraft. You cannot spend more than a hundred bucks for a one-way ticket.

After buying the ticket, the passengers will ask for a "pass" that will entitle the bearer to get a seat in the Ceres Tours bus at the port of Liloan, Santander, Cebu.
Along the route of the Ceres Bus, it passes by the Eastern side of Cebu province like Santander, Oslob, Boljoon, Alcoy, Dalaguete, Argao, Sibonga, Carcar, San Fernando, Minglanila, Talisay, Mambaling area, and Cebu City.

Travel time from Sibulan to Santander is approximately 30 minutes. Fastcraft and Pumpboat services begin at 6:00 am and end at 5:00 p.m.  Please check the changes in the schedules upon your arrival at the Ports (Sibulan Port in the Negros and Liloan Port at Santander town, Cebu) since there are days when the last trip may extend up to seven in the evening.

If you travel to Cebu in your own car or motorcycle, you can ask the port management to arrange for a Roro to take your car across the strait to Cebu.

The Port of Santander is also known as the Port of Liloan and Puerto del Sur.

Ceres Tours Bus waits for passengers from Sibulan port to board the bus en route to Cebu City.  The bus passes by the towns of Oslob and Boljoon, among others.
