 Huganas Cafe' and Resort is one of the less visited spots here in Negros Occidental but today it will not be an unknown place to most of you. 

Huganas Cafe is approximately 15 minutes from the municipal hall of the town of Murcia. Just follow the Mambucal-Tourism Highway until you reach the Mambucal-Bago River Bridge. Continue driving until you reach the Hacienda Lizares. Turn left to the hacidenda road and continue driving until you reach the entrance to Huganas Cafe' and Resort. 

What to do in Huganas? 

Other than swimming, you can also do photography and Selfies. There are spots that is good for yoga and meditation. I did walking around the resort and explore the riverside of Bago River. On the river there is a raft that can be used to cruise the river. Just make arrangement with the Caretaker. 

There are cottages and shed houses made of bamboo and nipa. There is also a social hall good for small events like wedding, birthday, seminar, and parties. Their kitchen serves coffee, fast food like burger, chips, smoothies, shakes, lunch and others upon your request. 

I love their "viewing deck" as it allows the guests to have a good view of the long and winding Bago River, the neighboring sugarcane farms, as well as the view of the mountains. The vibe is so relaxing. It's a great spot to escape the hurly-burly of corporate and city life. 

Huganas Cafe' and Resort is few minutes drive to neighboring Mambucal Summer Resort in nearby Barangay Minoyan. On the other hand, Mambucal is a few minutes drive to Graceland Highland Resort and Residences in upper Barandiaran area, just a few minutes from Don Bosco Retreat House.

Near the Mambucal-Bago River Bridge, is Twin River Resort which is also a nice spot to relax and spend your day in a quiet environment surrounded by trees, and the river. 

Along the national highway which is called Mambucal-Tourism Highway is a coffee shop known as Hill Top. It is a minute drive from the highway. 

All of these you can visit in a day. Try mo.
