After dining at STK Ta Bay at Paolito's Seafood House, here in the Queen City of the Southern Philippines, Cebu City, our group decided to spend a little time at a French bar and bakery in Cebu City that is popularly known as La Vie Parisienne.

It is located at 371 Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City, in the Philippines.  It is frequented by the high society of Cebu, local and international tourists from around the world and the neighboring islands and provinces.

La Vie Parisienne is famous for its French bread, Delicatessen (cold cuts) and Wine Library. Our travel buddies were convincing us to go there because that place has a very cozy atmosphere, and we can order a wine of our choice.  So, we drove to Lahug to try La Vie Parisienne.

When we arrived at La Vie Parisienne, the smell of newly baked bread fills the air. They have a wide array of bread on display like the chocolate croissant, macarons and macaroons, Laduree, French desserts, pizza and many more.

After feasting my eyes on those yummy bread and pastries, I moved around trying to figure out what to buy.  Then, one of our travel companions mentioned that La Vie Parisienne has a wine cellar.  After finding its location, I was amazed at the collection of wines from all over the world.

But I felt proud to see the bottles of champagne with the name - Lhuillier Champagne.  Isn't this awesome?

We continued walking until we reached the area where several gazebos had been occupied by guests. We slowly moved a bit farther until we found a long table with several chairs.  We were seated there. My friend ordered two bottles of fine wine accompanied by cutlets of meat that served as Filipino "pulutan" that goes well with red wine.

The open-air bar was so romantic.  Guests were really enjoying their wine, I guess, by the pleasant conversations and an occasional laughter here and there.  There were aplenty of "selfies" and a souvenir picture with the bar's manager. I was told he was a Frenchman.  The girls giggled with his presence in their "selfies".

As what the French speakers would say, unt avant-gout de Paris a La Vie Parisienne. For me, it was, indeed, an unforgettable taste of Paris at La Vie Parisienne.

La Vie Parisienne was not our last stop for the night.  The night was young, so we decided to visit LANTAW, the famous Look-out of Cebu.  There, we had a nice view of Cebu City at night.  A few distance from Lantaw is the famous Temple of Lea. According to Pearl Cabiluna, the temple was constructed by Teodorico Adarna for his wife Leah Villa Albino-Adarna.   Teodorico is the grandfather of actress Ellen Adarna.  Wow, I just wish I could visit it one day. (Update: I finally visited the Temple of Leah on September 10, 2022.)

Thanks to my travel buddies for the treat. I really enjoyed my experience and hopes to come back to Cebu in the future.
