You have to be in one of these Terminals or Ports to go to Camotes Islands. Although there are other ports of entry to these islands let us agree that your jump-off point is Cebu.

Going to the Camotes Islands is a challenging experience for those who are first-time solo travelers.  The popular jump-off point is, of course, the Port Terminal of Cebu City and the Port Terminal of Danao City, Cebu Province.

I had a challenging experience when I first travel to Camotes.  So many questions were in my mind but I just trusted my guts and the people that I will meet on that island.

THE PORTS OF CAMOTES ISLANDS

There are three (3) main islands in Camotes, these are Pacijan Island, Poro Island, and Ponson Island.

These islands are connected with other islands and provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao Regions through RORO vessels, fast crafts, and big outrigger boats.

There are three ports that serve the Camotes Islands.

Poro Port is the main Port where Ferries and Fastcrafts from Cebu dock.

Consuelo Port is located at Pacijan Island.  The port serves the ferries and boats coming from Danao Port in Cebu Province.

Pilar Port is located on Ponson Island and it serves the Ferries and Boats coming from Ormoc and other ports at the Province of Leyte.

I will now show photos of Poro Port where our Fast Craft docked upon our arrival at Camotes Islands from Cebu Port Terminal 1.

Photos show the Port of Poro.

Right in this Port is the Tourist Information Center with support staff to assist the tourists. Single Motorcycle is locally known as "Habal-Habal".  Here, they lined up to take their turn in picking up the passengers.

Transport System on the islands includes this vehicle known as "Carry".  In other areas of Cebu, this vehicle is known as "Talakitok".  That is how my brother calls my Carry.

A big Outrigger Boat is waiting to carry passengers to their next Island Adventure.  The photo was taken at Santiago Beach in Poro Island.

Actually, I took photos of the Danao Port en route to Maya Port on my way to Malapascua Island.  But I cannot find those photos from so many files stored on the memory card.  I will just post my own pictures the moment I can find them.
