OKADA MANILA

After a busy day of revisiting the historic Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila, I rested for a while in my temporary home at SEA Residences, near the Mall of Asia.  My daughter informed me that she will go to Okada, Manila together with her husband Naoki and the kids.  The reason is to watch the dancing fountain as they call it which the kids love to see.

So, from SEA Residences, I joined my children and grandchildren in walking towards the overpass that connects the condominiums to the Mall of Asia where the bus will take us for free to Okada Manila.

We arrived at the Okada a little past seven in the evening and just a few minutes before the dancing fountain will begin its show.

Okada is a luxury hotel and casino with restaurants and serving the best of Filipino and Asian cuisine.

Upon entering the lobby of Okada, you instantly fall in love at its beautiful interiors and eye-popping colorful decors from the rugs to the ceiling to the lighting and flower settings found in the lobby.

The lobby is awesome.

The fountain show was a sight to behold.  My grandchildren Aaron and Emi enjoyed the water popping out of the pool and gushing up like a geyser and landed back on the pool to the tune of Nessun Dorma. Here's how Nessun Dorma sounds like. Just imagine how the Fountain reacts to Luciano Pavaroti's finale. So majestic. Right?

After the show, we headed to the restaurant  to have dinner.  I think the name of the restaurant is Kiapo.  After checking on the Menu Card, my children ordered food of their choice as well as food for kids.  My choice was Chicken and Pork Adobo, a boneless chicken and pork braised in soy sauce, native vinegar and garlic.  It is accompanied with steamed rice and a can of Mountain Dew.

After dinner, we went to check on the gaming area, the casino but just passed by since we were with children.

For a few hours, I have seen the newest addition to Metro Manila's skyline, the Okada Manila.  Its architectural design is modern and it really catches the attention of travelers as it is unique.

According to its website, Okada Manila is carved in  44 hectares of picturesque oceanfront. It is set to become Entertainment City's iconic integrated resort.  Stay, play, dine, relax - all amid the luxurious comforts of a one-of-a-kind, masterfully created space for five-star pleasure and leisure.

I am glad I had experienced Okada Manila even for just a few hours.

This is Okada Manila located at New Seaside Drive, Entertainment City, Paranaque, National Capital Region. When I arrived at Okada Manila, it was a little past seven in the evening and I brought my Fujifilm pocket camera and not my Fujifilm FinePix S4400.  The photo I got was not good.  So, I borrowed this photo of Okada Manila from their website - okadamanila.com. Just to share with you how Okada Manila looks like. (Thanks okadamanila.com)

How to get there?

Just go to the Mall of Asia and find that parking spot where the Okada Manila bus will take you to the resort hotel for free.  Just ask any security personnel of the Mall of Asia and they will help you locate that bus.  In my experience, we were there in the bus parking spot a little past seven in the evening. Just in time for the 8:00-8:30 p.m. dancing fountain show.
