At the time of our visit, this is how the interior of the church looks like. 

But why is this not finished?

With the collapse of the sugar industry, Victorias Milling Company otherwise known as VICMICO was also greatly affected by the sudden plummet of the price of sugar in the world market. Is it possible that the benefactors of the church were also affected by this crisis that hit the sugar industry on Negros Island?  

Touristang Pobre visited the church in the early part of 2000 when it was being constructed and saw how majestic it was. High ceiling, wide interior and space for the pews and the altar was yet to be completed with decorations and all others.

In the meantime, the people of Canetown in Victorias City, continue to attend the Mass in this church 

How to get there?

From Bacolod City, take the Ceres Bus at the Ceres Terminal at Mandalagan-Bata.  Look for the Ceres Bus that service the city of Victorias. Tell the Conductor that you will go down at "Bangga Central".  From there, ride the Tricycle and tell the driver to take you to the Cathedral at Canetown.  

If you are from San Carlos City, please do the same.  Go down at "Bangga Central" and ride the Tricycle going to the Cathedral.
