FARM TOURISM AT CAMDEN, DELAWARE

 Farm Tourism has been a popular activity in New Jersey beginning the start of Spring and until the last days of Fall.  

One of the farms that we frequently go to is the Fifer Orchards in Camden, Delaware.  I have been to Fifer Farms three times including this last visit in August for their Peach Festival. 

Today, the Farm started their Fall Fest.  There is so much to do on the farm like Picking Apples and Pumpkins.  You can also tour the farm by riding the tractor, riding the train, listen and watch the live band, and buy freshly cooked food or refreshing drinks and ice cream. Children will surely enjoy face painting or running in the Corn Maze Fun Park - the Corn Story Theme, among others.
 Fifer Orchards is in the Town of Camden, Wyoming, Delaware. Camden is part of Kent County, which is also a part of the Dover Metropolitan Statistical Area.  (Wikipedia). 

While in Dover City, we stayed in the house of my son-in-law's cousin A and her husband M.

From where we stayed, we traveled for about 15 minutes to the farm.  The parking area was already full of cars leaving a few spots that enabled us to park our vehicles. The kids cannot wait any longer and they rushed out of the car to go where the action was.

 There were kiosks selling burgers, fries, souvenirs, drinks, and ice cream among others. The Main Market sells several farm produce and fruit-based products. To entertain the guests there was a group of men, a band a-la-minstrels, that sang country music and other "oldies" music. This is my type of entertainment, haha.

A Lady from the Local Library conducted a Story Telling activity and played stringed instruments to entertain the young visitors.  A few minutes later, the Farm Personnel installed a Tent to shelter her and the children from the heat of the sun. 

 There was a Tent where Free Ice Cream was given to the Visitors. 

On our final day here in Dover, the families attended a Mass at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover, Delaware.

We attended the Sunday Mass at around 10:00 a.m.

Fifer Orchard at Camden, Delaware is our favorite farm destination for the past few years. When the family gathers in Delaware, we always made it a point to visit the farm where children can play and experience the "life on the farm".
