SUMMERTIME AT LAKE KENOSIA
Introduction
Lake Kenosia Park is a 25-acre park with benches, playground, Spray Park, 4 soccer fields, non-motorized boating, and tables. Summertime in this part of the United States begins on June 1 and ends on August 31. Fall or Autum follows.
Location:
The park is located at 18 Christopher Columbus Avenue, Danbury Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut. It usually opens at past nine and closes at around six in the evening.

Things to do in Lake Kenosia
I went with my children, grandchildren, and cousins of my son-in-law together with their children too. The kids enjoyed the Spray Park from the time we arrived until around 3:00 p.m.
There is nothing much that the adults can do but spend time with members of the family to catch up and share news about each other as well as roam around the area to enjoy the beautiful lake, enjoy walking around the lakeside and appreciate the sights of blooming local species of flowers and other plants. That's what I did.
I would like to share with you what I discovered at Lake Kenosia. These flowers and plants were planted at strategic area of the Lake.
Since I am not familiar with the names of the flowers here in Connecticut, I used the app called "PlantNet" to help me identify the plants that I saw at Lake Kenosia Park. These are what I found.
This is the Clustered Mountainmint.
It grows abundantly along the lake.
This is the Spotted Joe Pye Weed.
It sways gracefully once the breeze blows its stem.
This is known as Highbush Cranberry.
I like its name, but I am not very sure if this is edible.
This one is called the Cardinal Flower.
Its striking red color reminds me of the Cardinal, yes.
The ones we see in Vatican during religious celebrations.
According to the app "PlantNet", this flower (below) is known as the Purple Coneflower.
This looks impressive when it is blooming with purple petals.
Hereunder are how Purple Coneflower looks like when in full bloom.

The app cannot identify this plant.
Is it Blue Wild Indigo or is it one of those Crotalaria Retusa?
If you know, just like the rest of the other flowers posted here, please comment on the Comment Section at the bottom of this page.
Thanks.
This one is known as Fool's Parseley.
In other sources, it is known as Poison Parseley.
As the name suggests, Parseley of the Fool, lol.
This is Blue Mistflower.
This is extraordinarily beautiful if its cluster are closer at each other because its color will be highlighted.
My Tips:
If you know that the name of the plants and flowers featured herein is not correct, please write a comment at the Comment Section at the bottom of this page. Thank you.

Nicknamed Beantown early
on for the quality of the beans it grew, Danbury eventually earned the
nickname Hat City during the nineteenth century when it became the
center of America's hat production. Today, Danbury makes electronic equipment, machinery, and furniture and is home to Western Connecticut State University.
