What to do in Gawahon Eco-Park?
As of this writing, Gawahon Eco-Park or shall I call it - Resort, is being improved. Meaning, there was a construction that was going on - improvement of the cottages.
It is, therefore, suggested that before you go there, please coordinate with the city's tourism office.
Actually, Gawahon is ideal for the following activities like Seminar, Team Building, Camping, holding your event like Birthday, Wedding Reception, family bonding, overnight stay, and others.
Now, let us go back to our main topic - Gawahon Falls.
A few minute-drive from Gawahon Eco-Park or the Resort is Gawahon Falls. It is located at the end of the road. The Falls is, I guess, located on the western side of Silay Mountain Range. The whole mountain area is part of the Northern Negros Natural Park which covers the towns and cities on this part of Negros such as: Victorias, Silay, E.B. Magalona, Murcia, Salvador Benedicto, Talisay, Cadiz, Sagay, Toboso, Calatrava, and San Carlos. The Park is centered on Mt. Mandalagan and Mt. Silay. This forest reserve was signed by then American Governor General Frank Murphy on April 28, 1935. From its original area of 107,727 hectares, it is now reduced to 80,454 hectares. (Wikipedia).
