SAN FRANCISCO: Palace Of Fine Arts

Palace of Fine Arts

The Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a monumental structure originally constructed for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition in order to exhibit works of art presented there. (Wikipedia).  It is one of the oldest structures in California that still exist today.
Its architectural style is Beaux-Arts architecture

If you are using a google map and GPS (Global Positioning System) here is the address: 3301 Lyon Street, San Francisco, CA 94123.  The palace and the surrounding areas are composed of 17 acres.

It was raining and the breeze is so cool.

It is like visiting a ruin in the Roman Empire.

Intricately crafted designs.

It is like passing through the exhibits of a long gone to Panama-Pacific International Exposition.

Dancing ladies, the giant jars, and leaves were simply wonderful to see.

Are you reminded of one of those mausoleum entrances in the cemetery?

What a beautiful piece of architecture and fine arts...so, travel while you can because when you are impaired you will regret not doing it when you still, can.

My travel buddy, my grandson Coco....braving the cold and the rain.... other members of the family were not shown here...

The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco is a favorite spot for pictorials and movie shoots.
