AROUND THE WORLD BY TRAIN

TRAVEL BY TRAIN CAN BE AN ADVENTURE
* * * * * * * *

Introduction:

This Blog was written during the Pandemic. It was the time when travel restrictions were high and countries were not willing to allow tourists to come in, travelers like me whose feet are itchy to explore some places, so to speak, have nothing to do but travel virtually through Youtube.

By doing this, I experience traveling with YouTubers or Vloggers. This is also a learning experience.  I virtually travel all over the place and so, learn how I should do it in real-time once the world has returned to normal.

Here, in this blog, I presented a few travel destinations where the train can be a great means of transport.  Sounds tiring? Well, you can travel by Coach if it is a long-distance trip that will take more than two nights, I guess. Try to watch this collection of videos and see how you can plan your next travel adventure.

I have mine. I will share it with you. In the near future, maybe, next year, I plan to go back to Sydney and take the train up to Perth. After exploring Perth for a day or two, I will take the train to Adelaide, stay there for a week, and go back to Sydney on my final exit to I still cannot determine where. Maybe, Fiji or wherever.

If my plans will change and I will do Europe first, then I will try the train from London to Paris, Paris to Milan, Italy and maybe explore Venice and other countries by train too. It means Australia will come second if there is a change of plan.

Japan can come in third in the plan to be followed by the Trans-Siberian Train Express from Moscow to Beijing.  It follows that I must think about the Visa Requirements of the countries I will be visiting.  My passport allows me to get the Visa on-line or upon entering the country.

I plan to visit Africa, South Africa, and start my proposed train trip there.

The last in the list of my "someday list" is the Amtrak train ride from Chicago to San Francisco, California. Chicago is near home so it will be the last on the list.

Finally, I believe that a plan is just a plan, but the most important thing is we work to achieve the plan. Hence, learning from the Vloggers is not a bad thing, I guess. We can gather information so that when the right time comes, we will be guided accordingly.

I can dream, can't I?

Perth is facing the Indian Ocean while Sydney is facing the Pacific Ocean. Thus, Indian Pacific Train. Makes sense?

Destinations: Ulaanbaatar - Gun-Galuut – Karakorum - Elsen Tasarkhai - Beijing - Xian - Shanghai - Hong Kong

Starting Point: Ulaanbaatar Ending Point: Hong Kong

In 2018, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Railway opened to connect Hong Kong with the Mainland Chinese high-speed network through a 26-kilometre (16 mi) tunnel within Hong Kong to West Kowloon station.

Hereunder is the video of a Train Ride from Paris to Moscow. This train from Paris can be your connecting ride from London to Paris, then Paris to Moscow passing by Germany, possibly Poland, Belarus, and direct to Moscow or passing by St. Petersburg.  From Moscow, you can now take the train on a Trans-Siberian Tour passing by several small countries and Mongolia, then Beijing. From Beijing you can have a connecting train to Hong Kong, then Vietnam to Bangkok, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Train Routes from London via the English Channel Tunnel to Paris passing by Germany, Poland, Belarus, St. Petersburg, and Moscow. From Moscow, you can ride the Trans-Siberian Train to Beijing. From Beijing, ride another Train to Vietnam, Bangkok (Thailand), and finally Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. From KL, I can fly to Manila and take a rest in my hometown before going to other destinations.
